Overall, we’ve now received ~350 submission from 29 anglers
In the Big Stick, Ben Roussel has taken the lead in the Speckled Trout category with a 14.75” fish landed in early September. With 25 days left and cool weather in the forecast, there’s still plenty of time for someone to top this length.

Whether you’re a seasoned tier or new to the vise, come hang out, sip some craft brews, and tie a fly with the community.
F&F is an independent collective of tiers just looking to tie and enjoy a social gathering with some fine brews. While not affiliated with Red Stick, it was hatched by a few club members as an alternative to a traditional meeting environment. Everyone is welcome!

Monday, November 23rd
7:00pm - until
Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library
9200 Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA
Featured Tyer: David Rogers
Featured Fly: Clouser's Suspender
Join us on Monday, November 23rd, as David Rogers demonstrates how to tie Bob Clouser’s Suspender. As the name implies, Bob Clouser designed this fly to suspend just below the surface. An effective pattern for bass, redfish, snook and other species, the pattern is best fished with a series of short, quick strips and intermittent pauses. The sudden rise and slow fall has proved irresistible to countless fish, and it has long been Bob’s favorite snook fly as a result.
As usual, beginners and guests are welcome! Materials are provided. Bring your vise and tools. For those without tools or vise, the club has some for use during this session.
