Red Stick Day - Saturday, March 12

Our 24th annual Red Stick Day is coming up Saturday, March 12th.  Red Stick Day is our club conclave - a celebration of fly fishing featuring programs, fly tying, fly casting, kayak demos, good food, loads of raffle items, and even fishing on-site.

This year our special guest is Bill Laminack of Panama City, Florida. For more info, go to the Red Stick Day page.  Also, click here for the RSD Flyer

Red Stick Day Banquet:The banquet falls on the day before Red Stick Day, Friday, March 11th.  Cost is $15.  There will also be a raffle at the banquet in addition to Red Stick Day.  We are asking for some donations to be specifically for the Ladies.  Ask your wives and girl friends if they have anything the would like to donate.  We want it to be fun for everyone.  Bill Laminack will be speaking at the banquet as well.

We are going to be needing donations of time and raffle items to pull of Red Stick Day and the Banquet.  The raffles help pay for our event and contribute to our educational and conservation activities.  Also, setup up and tear down crews will be need for both events.  Also, cooks are needed for the banquet. Please respond to rsflyfishers@gmail.com.

Roger Del Rio will speak to the club on fly fishing opportunities in south Louisiana.  Roger will concentrate on fishing for Bass, Speckled Trout and Redfish along the coastal waters of Louisiana.  We will also hear briefly on the benefits the club receives for being affiliated with the IFFF.  Tidal calendars will also be available at the meeting if you missed your opportunity in January.
