Rally Cap Brewing
11212 Pennywood Ave, Baton Rouge, LA
Featured Pattern: TBD

Join us for this month’s Flies & Flights where we’ll be tying one of the most iconic patterns in saltwater fly fishing—Lefty Kreh’s Deceiver. Designed for versatility and proven to tempt everything from stripers to snook, this legendary streamer is a must-have in any fly box.

We’ll have tools, vises, and materials available, so don’t hesitate to join us if you’re looking to learn!

F&F is an independent collective of tiers just looking to tie and enjoy a social gathering with some fine brews. While not affiliated with Red Stick, it was hatched by a few club members as an alternative to a traditional meeting environment. Everyone is welcome!

RSFF SackUp for Clean Water x NOFFC
Saturday, June 21st

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Capitol Lake near the Arsenal

This month’s RSFF #SackUpForCleanWater event will be held on Saturday, June 21st at Capitol Lake (near the Arsenal). And we’re teaming up with our friends at New Orleans Fly Fishers Club to make it even bigger!

In addition to cleaning up one of our local waterways, this meetup offers a great opportunity for anglers to chase a variety of sunfish species found in the lake—including the elusive Orangespotted Sunfish, a key target for those participating in either our Jambalaya Challenge or the FFI Gulf Coast Council's Suncatch Challenge.  Be sure to bring a light rod and some tiny flies (Size 20 or smaller) if you’re hoping to land your first Orangespotted!

RSFF Fly Tying Meeting
Monday, June 23rd

7:00pm - until
* Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library
9200 Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA
Featured Patterns: Whitlock’s NearNuff Sculpin

* Please note: starting in June, RSFF fly tying sessions will now be held at the Bluebonnet Regional Library *

Join us Monday, June 23rd, as Brian Roberts (RSFF President) leads us through a tutorial of Whitlock’s NearNuff Sculpin — a proven pattern for tempting big, predatory trout and bass. Designed by fly fishing legend Dave Whitlock, this sculpin imitation is both realistic and versatile, making it a must-have in any streamer box.

Whether you're new to streamers or a seasoned tyer, this pattern offers something for everyone.  Don’t miss out on your opportunity to add this must have pattern to your summer streamer box.

As usual, beginners and guests are welcome!  Tools, vises and materials are available for use during this session for those looking to learn.
