Jambalaya Challenge, Big Stick contest updates

Kevin Andry's 19.5" bass
We're now entering the fourth month of our members-only contests:  the Jambalaya Challenge where size doesn't matter, but diversity does.  And our new Big Stick Contest where size does matter!  Whatever challenge you like, we have it!

Members have been busy!  It's only April, but we already have 139 entries from 19 members. Some of the more interesting catches so far include:

  • Western Mosquitofish  (Murray Neames, Stephen Wolf)
  • Dollar Sunfish  (Brian Roberts, Chris Williams)
  • Lemon Shark  (David Rogers)
  • American Silver Perch (Kevin Andry)
  • Blacktail Shiner (Brad Dunne)
  • Blue Catfish (Emily Thomas)

Here's the Jambalaya Challenge leaderboard 4/1/26, Adult Division

Chris Williams - 19
Brad Dunne - 16
Ben Roussel - 15
Murray Neames - 14
Brian Roberts - 12
Stephen Wolf - 11
Carlos Adams - 9

So far, no entries in the Youth Division

Big Stick leaders include:  Ben Roussel (8 pts), Kevin Andry (3), Carlos Adams and Skeeter Dixon (2), Glen Cormier and David Rogers (1).   Ben's 39.75" redfish remains a lock in that category, and so does his 8.75" bream.  Bass has been competitive with Kevin Andry leading with a 19.5" P-I-G pig!

Remember that these entries create a database that members can use to determine where to catch certain species, what flies work for them.  It's as good as any fishing report!
