Our next monthly fly tying session will be at the Goodwood Library at 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, meeting room Conference Room B on the 2nd floor. Time
is 7:00pm.
This month we will honor the late Lefty Kreh by tying his Deceiver. The fly was created by Lefty in the late 1950s as a baitfish pattern for Chesapeake Bay stripers. When Lefty moved to south Florida in the early 1960s, he began using it for a wide variety of saltwater fish. It's reported to have caught over 100 species to date. In 1991, the Deceiver was honored by the U.S. Postal Service with a stamp of the fly.
Bring your tying tools if you have some. If not, the club
has a few sets for use. Materials are provided.
As always, beginners are welcome!
