The next meeting of the Red Stick Fly Fishers will be held Monday,
February 9, at the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries building on Quail
Drive in Baton Rouge. Time is 7:00pm. The public is invited.
This
month we get to hear from Michelle Maloney, the Coastal Outreach
Coordinator for the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. She will be
presenting on coastal restoration and where we are now with the State
Coastal Master Plan and RESTORE Act. This will be an insightful
presentation as a lot of our inshore salt water fisheries are dependent
on our marshes.
Also on the agenda: fishing reports, upcoming events including Fly Fishing Film Tour (Feb. 27) and our own Red Stick Day conclave (Mar. 7).
