The next meeting of the Red Stick Fly Fishers will be held Monday,
October 13, 2014, at the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries building on
Quail Drive in Baton Rouge. Time is 7:00pm. The public is welcome!
For
October, the meeting will be dedicated to our favorite saltwater flies
we use for reds, specks and flounder. This will be a great opportunity
to learn which flies work best in our SE Louisiana saltwaters. The
meeting is open to the public, so come join us.
The format will be
an open forum where participants will describe their flies, talk about
how and when to use them, and mention where to buy them, or if not
commercially available, how to tie them. Please bring copies of the
recipe. All attendees are encouraged to participate. The more, the
better.
If you are planning to present one or more flies at the meeting,
please send an email to lafleurmf@aol.com so we can get an idea of how
many presenters we can expect.
