Red Stick Fly Fishers Community Board

Bluegills, that is. Not sure what the weather on the coast would be like, I slept late and then later went to fish BREC ponds around BR.  Hit Palimino, Blackwater, and North Sherwood.  Water was clear everywhere, and of all things, a Stippled Popper size 12 worked best.  Nothing big...  the gobbules were 5"-6" with one as large as 7" in the mix, but about 20 that size.  After a seafood gumbo lunch, and watching the Saints cook up Buccaneer Gumbo, hit the neighborhood pond and picked up a few more.
