Red Stick Day
Red Stick Day - Saturday, March 6, 2010
Each year on the first Saturday in March, we host our annual conclave, a celebration of fly fishing featuring programs, fly tying demonstrations, casting demos, casting instruction, kayak tryouts, vendor exhibits, and more. Known as "Red Stick Day", it is annually the largest fly fishing event in southeast Louisiana. Our club conclave is free and open to the public, and occasionally features some of the biggest names in fly fishing and kayak fishing. Past headliners have included Jason Borger, Ed Jaworoski, Craig Mathews, Jimbo Meador, Pete Cooper Jr., Chrystal Murray and Nick Curcione.
