Popper Clinic

Date: Saturday, August 8, 2009
Time: 8:30am - 1:00pm
Location: LDWF Waddill Outdoors Education Center

This clinic will focus on two of the most effective poppers for use in fall and spring: Ron Braud's Stippled Popper and Walt Holman's Foil Pencil Popper.  There will also be a brief demonstration of Pete Cooper's Perch Float Popper.  Late summer fishing is tough because the water's hot and oxygen levels are at their lowest. This is an excellent time to make "assembly line" flies in preparation for awesome fall fishing. Bass, bream, specks, and reds love poppers in the fall.  Don't leave home without 'em!

Cost is FREE to members, and $12 to non-members (cost of a half-year membership). Pre-Registration is required so the club can provide sufficient materials. If the timing is such that the clinic runs into the afternoon, the club will provide lunch.  To register, email Glen Cormier or signup at the fly tying or membership meetings.

Check back for a listing of materials and tools that you will be required to bring (the club will provide most of the materials).
